Why the Lynch Cup?

For Sarah

Sarah Lynch was our first female vice-captain, a leader, and the heart of Sarsfields Rugby. From day one she welcomed every new player, calmed the nerves, answered every question and cheered every small win.

When we lost Sarah in December 2023 we knew her spirit would live on, and the Lynch Cup is how we honour her and keep building the inclusive rugby culture she believed in.

We don’t just play in her name. We carry her heart onto the pitch with us. Always.
